About Us

The members of ACFA include in-house attorneys and attorneys in private practice who are national and international experts in middle-market commercial credit transactions and commercial bankruptcy matters.  We are a select group with members in more than thirty states and a number of foreign countries.  Our members' clients include most, if not all, of the major banks, commercial finance companies, leasing companies, and factors.

Mission Statement

The Association of Commercial Finance Attorneys furthers the practice of law applicable to commercial finance, including but not limited to asset-based lending, factoring, loan restructuring and insolvency.  ACFA pursues this goal in an atmosphere of collegiality and mutual respect through periodic educational programs and an annual continuing education weekend covering topics related to commercial finance, insolvency and ethics.

ACFA’s membership is committed to the practice of commercial law in accordance with the highest ethical and professional standards. ACFA members actively participate in the drafting, modification, reform, and interpretation of commercial and insolvency law.  Many ACFA members are recognized experts in their fields of practice and often lead the organization’s educational programs.
