What’s Special About the Uniform Special Deposits Act? Approved by the Uniform Law Commission in 2023, the Uniform Special Deposits Act (USDA) is a statute designed to clarify and modernize the legal treatment of special-purpose bank deposits - deposits of money at a financial institution where the person entitled to the funds is only determined after a specific event or circumstance has occurred. Currently, common law addresses the use of special deposits. This seminar will provide an overview of the USDA and discuss how the USDA will govern special deposits, including addressing expectations of the parties, treatment in bankruptcy and related creditor issues. We look forward to engaging with you, both in person and virtually (all members in good current standing will automatically receive a virtual link from Zoom the night before the presentation, no registration required).

Price:

- FREE for ACFA Members

- $50.00 per additional guest (the $50.00 fee goes toward price of annual membership for new members); fee is waived for any guest of an ACFA member in good standing.

Event Includes:

- Light hors d'oeuvres & refreshments

- In-Person panel attendance at Mayer Brown LLP (1221 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10001) OR virtual live webinar via Zoom (Zoom invitation will be received by any ACFA member in good standing the night before, no sign-up required)
